Casualty and Professional Services was established in New Zealand in July 2007 to meet a market need for sensible, structured investigations and handling of all types of casualty (liability) and financial lines (fidelity & professional indemnity), including major and complex loss, insurance claims in the New Zealand and Australasian markets. Now, in its 15th year of operations, the business has grown organically and has the qualified liability claims adjusters in its team with a wide range of experience and skills.
The company holds a Certificate of Approval (#11-024448) with the Private Security Personnel Licensing Authority in New Zealand as a Licensed Private Investigator. Two of its staff are licensed Private Investigators. CPS is also a Member of SiteSafe New Zealand with adjusters holding Building Construction Passports.
Operating from our office in West Auckland, CPS can attend claims throughout New Zealand and the Pacific Islands.
Director Jeff Stagg has been involved in all types of liability insurance claims since 1980 and has worked in the Liability and Complex Loss claims arena for over 40 years. This experience, gained in UK, Europe, South America and New Zealand, has provided a breadth of knowledge on complex claims management that can be applied to most casualty and financial lines types of claims. Jeff has a Certificate of Approval as a Licensed Private Investigator with the PSPLA (#11-024596).
Senior Liability Adjuster Albert Stassen is a chartered loss adjuster and has been involved in loss adjusting in New Zealand since 2011. In this time, he has specialised in commercial property, commercial major loss, contract works, public and products liability, professional indemnity and cyber claims. Albert also has experience with litigation support, fidelity/employee theft, and ACC claims. Albert also holds a Certificate of Approval as a Licensed Private Investigator with the PSPLA (#20-068041).
Senior Liability Adjuster Beatrix Keene started her career as a liability adjuster in South Africa in 2007 and has experience working as a senior legal officer for a large insurance underwriter before moving to adjusting. Holding a law degree and being a member of the Institute of loss adjusters of Southern Africa, she relocated to New Zealand in 2011.
All CPS adjusters are members of NZILA and ANZIIF. Each adjuster maintains continued professional development, keeping updated and informed on current issues, new rulings, and new policy development impacting the industry. All CPS adjusters attend claims throughout New Zealand.
